Why we stopped using PFCs
Forever chemicals made rain jackets work for forty years. Our finish does the same job without them. Here is the trade-off, honestly.
For decades the rain beading on your jacket came from fluorinated chemicals that never break down. They work very well, and they end up in rivers, soil and people.
The trade-off
Our PFC-free finish beads water just as well when new. It is less resistant to oil and dirt, so it needs a warm wash and a short tumble dry a few times a year to wake it up.
We think that is a fair price. Every product page tells you how to look after it.
Our promise
Everything we make is tested in the rain room, and repaired free for five years.
